Emergency septic service

Sewage in the house, or a backup in a rental with guests arriving, is not a wait-until-Monday problem.

Right now: stop running water, do not flush, keep people and pets away from any sewage, and call (573) 698-0517.

What counts as an emergency

  • Sewage coming up through a tub, shower or floor drain
  • Toilets that will not flush anywhere in the house
  • Sewage surfacing in the yard or near the shoreline
  • A septic or pump alarm sounding

What happens when you call

  1. We ask where the property is and what you see.
  2. A local contractor calls you back. Same-day visits depend on availability, especially on summer holiday weekends.
  3. They pump or open the tank and diagnose. You get a quote before any repair starts.

Holiday weekends

Memorial Day, the Fourth of July and Labor Day bring the most people to the lake and the most septic calls. If you rent your property, a pump-out and check before the season starts is cheap insurance.

Common questions

Will pumping fix a backup?

It gives immediate relief and is often the first step. If the lateral field has failed, the backup returns.

Is emergency service more expensive?

Nights, weekends and holidays usually cost more than a scheduled visit. Ask for the price on the phone.
