Answer a few questions to see whether your septic work likely needs a Camden County permit, and what the steps are.
What this is based on
Camden County Waste Water requires permits for new construction and for replacing old septic systems (tank and laterals) on residential lots under three acres, residential lots adjacent to Lake of the Ozarks regardless of size, lots with more than one single-family home, small commercial sites and multi-family developments. A soil morphology test comes first, the permit fee is $150, a county inspector evaluates the site, and permits are valid for one year (Camden County Waste Water). This checker is a guide, not a ruling: confirm with the department at 573-317-3810. More in our permit guide.
